Product Info

Modeled after the first noblewoman's dress in the famous painting by Zhou Fang: "Court Ladies Wearing Flowered Headdresses" from the Tang Dynasty.

With a delectable pomegranate fruit print, this Heziqun 诃子裙 is a look back in time at the particular style of dress only seen in Late Tang paintings.

Constructed with a wide band across the chest, the band called hezi 诃子 was thought to be a form of undergarment before gradually being worn over skirts.

Although there are no official artifacts found of heziqun 诃子裙 and its only proof of existence lives on in a few paintings, it still remains one of the most popular styles of hanfu today.

Pair with the daxiushan 大袖衫, a long jacket with floor grazing sleeves and deep side slits. 

Finish with the crane pibo 披帛, a Tang Dynasty shawl. Printed with flying cranes, the entire set gives the wearer an ethereal aura.

Please hand wash carefully as to not ruin the embroidery, jewels, or buttons. Please air dry the clothes on a hanger. Hand washing and air drying also extends the life of your hanfu. For ironing, please use lowest heat setting or steam out the wrinkles.
