Yes, women can wear Tieli 贴里 (pleated robes) too!

Although it is historically associated with men’s hanfu, in modern times it has become quite popular for women to start wearing these gorgeous robes as well.

Constructed with many pleats along the bottom half and a cross collar design at the top, this traditional garment has been refreshed with adorable polka dot prints in a refreshing yellow shade! 

Pair with the taro colored Baizhequn 百迭裙, or “hundred pleat skirt”. This style of skirt originates in the Song Dynasty and was the precursor to the usual Ming Dynasty Mamianqun “horse face skirt”. Much flowier and suitable for warm weather ~

Adorable daisy chain print throughout, this adds a lovely print mixing to the polka dots on top.

When combined, this is a comfortable, breathable, and extra flowy silhouette that is modest yet striking!

  • Tieli 贴里 (pleated robe) - 74% rayon, 26% nylon, lightweight & slightly sheer 

    • slight shrinkage when washed, 2-3% shrinkage rate upon first wash, no shrinkage after.

  • Baizhequn 百迭裙 (hundred pleat skirt) - 20% nylon, 80% polyester, gauze feel & slightly sheer

CLEANING INFORMATION

Please hand wash carefully as to not ruin the embroidery, jewels, or buttons. Please air dry the clothes on a flat surface or hanger. Hand washing and air drying also extends the life of your hanfu. Please iron using lowest heat settings or steam out wrinkles.
