Product Info

Janfu (jean hanfu) seems to be a trend that is here to stay! Instantly add a touch of rustic charm to any ensemble, this classic American fabric has been incorporated into the regal silhouettes of the Ming Dynasty.

Starting with the Xiejin Changshan 斜襟长衫 (diaganol panel long shirt), made of a textured and embroidered white fabric. Butterflies have been embroidered on, symbols of love and happiness. Light blue accents along the cuffs mirror the cool tones of the rest of the set, creating a cohesive look. 

Next, add the star of the show: the denim Yuanling Bijia 圆领比甲 (round collar vest). The round collar shows off any standing collar garment perfectly, while creating an elongating effect on the body. On the chest, a modernized Buzi 補子 (mandarin square). Once, a symbol of your court ranking. Now, a fashionable and lacy accent! 

Finally, pair with the matching Mamianqun 马面裙 (horse face skirt). Printed with playful diamonds, this skirt is made from a lighter fabric (as compared to your typical heavy brocades). Best suited for spring and summer, petticoat recommended! 

Optional Yunjian 云肩 (cloud collar), also made of denim! Made in a more traditionally Qing Dynasty shape with sharp pointed leaves. Embroidered flowers throughout, perfect for modern or traditional ensembles.

CLEANING INFORMATION

Please hand wash carefully as to not ruin the embroidery, jewels, or buttons. Please air dry the clothes on a flat surface or hanger. Hand washing and air drying also extends the life of your hanfu. For ironing, please use lowest heat setting or steam out the wrinkles
