Intricate hand embroidered Buzi 補子 (square mandarin patch) on the front and back of the jacket, these squares used to denote men's court rank, but women of the Ming added stunning nature motifs. A little kitty plays by the edge of a pond, looking upon 2 lucky goldfish - symbols of wealth, abundance, and good luck in relationships! Above, blooming cherry blossoms rain down petals on the lively group. 

Double lined Fangling 方领袄 (square collar jacket) with a parallel panel closure. The square collar allows any standing or cross collared top to peek through! Sleeves are wide cropped Pipaxiu 琵琶袖 (lute sleeves) that also allows the inner shirt to peek through.

Pure silk fabric is soft, light, and luxurious to touch. The imprinted geometric design is called "4 Seasons", a pattern associated with good scenery and a stable year. In the light, these patterns will shine beautifully ~
