Product Info

A basic cotton blend Xuanzi 旋子, a short length skirt similar in construction to the Mamian 马面裙 (horse face skirt).

Can be worn by men underneath Ming Dynasty garments to give robes more structure. Can be worn by all genders as an overskirt or apron.

This simple skirt was beloved by people of all classes throughout the 15th century, it quickly became an essential garment for the working class to keep their clothing clean.

Please hand wash carefully as to not ruin the embroidery, jewels, or buttons. Please air dry the clothes on a hanger. Hand washing and air drying also extends the life of your hanfu. For ironing, please use lowest heat setting or steam out the wrinkles.
