Product Info

Comfortable everyday shirt from the Ming Dynasty. Choose from three elegant colorways and different sleeve widths best for your personal hanfu style! Fabric is woven with a small geometric and floral design.

Comes in two sleeve styles:

  • Pipa Xiu 琵琶袖 - "lute sleeve" wide sleeve, small cuff 
  • Gongdai Xiu 弓袋袖 - "arrow sleeve" narrow sleeve, small cuff

The Jiaoling Duanshan Ao 交领短衫袄 "cross collar short shirt" was worn by women of all classes during the 17-18th century. Easy to wear, requiring only three ties, making it popular amongst all Chinese women of the time.

Pair with a Mamian 马面 skirt for a simple Ming Dynasty outfit, layer under various vests and jackets, or wear with wide leg trousers for a fun office look!

CLEANING INFORMATION

Please hand wash carefully as to not ruin the embroidery, jewels, or buttons. Please air dry the clothes on a hanger. Hand washing and air drying also extends the life of your hanfu. For ironing, please use lowest heat setting or steam out the wrinkles.
