Pockets, Tang Dynasty silhouettes, and traditional flower mandela prints - what's not to love! The Zao Qiu 早秋 Early Autumn Modernized Tang Pi Ao Coat is available in two autumnal colors: bean green with emerald green lining, and bud yellow with red lining.

Crafted from an interwoven yarn fabric, the textured lines make this coat more approachable for daily wear. Unique floral prints line the inner collar and cuffs, adding a colorful accent to the ensemble.

Comes with pockets to keep your hands toasty, a fun Chinese ribbon knot adds an adorable contemporary touch. 

Inspired by Tang Dynasty winter-wear, features a straight collar and a grand front-cross design. The structure maintains the classic shape while incorporating modern updates, including a seamless shoulder design for enhanced comfort. This ensures a smooth fit without excessive fabric gathering at the chest.

When worn open, the exquisite velvet floral mandala details reveal their full glory.

 

While Ao 袄 (double layered garments) are typically associated with the later dynasties like Ming, Ao 袄 was a popular garment throughout all dynasties.

The Tang Dynasty Pi Ao 披袄 (cloak jacket) features rounded wide lapels, and is constructed similarly to a Yuanlingpao 圆领袍 (round collar robe). Worn by men and women, this was a popular horse riding coat!
