A simple everyday skirt in an elegant olive green, this Tang Dynasty skirt can be styled in endless ways! Features a small green rose pattern, the Holding the Moon 上揽月 10 Panel Skirt is a comfortable and easy to wear piece. 

Constructed like a Poqun (破裙, "broken" skirt) made up of 10 large trapezoidal pieces of fabric, sewn together to create a flowing skirt with an impressive swing radius. 

The Poqun 破裙 was worn throughout many of China's early dynasties, making this a versatile piece for multiple eras. Additionally, these traditional skirts pair great with any modern top! 

 

This item has a 10 day construction period.

Me: 5'0", 160 lbs, waist 80 cm - got 3XL Got the larger size just in case because I feel like I'm more likely to gain weight than lose it. When wrapping the skirt, it did not feel like excessive fabric. In fact, I feel very protected from the flaps of the skirt opening and showing off more leg than I expect on a breezy day. The length is perfect for my short legs; it comes to just above my ankles. The fabric is light and thin, and moves well. I feel it might wrinkle easily, but it's nothing a good steam didn't fix. The waistband has a hole in the back for ease of passing the ties through.

Shipping and order wise everything was fine. The only problem is that the dress is a little shorter than I thought it would be despite measuring myself I think it's just because I higher natural waistline. My only other nitpicky critique is that the fabric itself is slightly see through in the light, not anything too bad and it is a wrap skirt so the double layering cancels that out just fine but the first 2 minutes I had it out the box I did feel slightly disappointed. But now that I've had a chance to actually wear it and stylist it is one of my favorite skirts.

I purchased the Large in this skirt and it's perfect. The wrap makes it very forgiving, so if I'm feeling a little bloated or bleh, this skirt is a nice option to still look buttoned up and polished, but also not having to resort to stretch-fabric. The color and fabric is beautiful and the skirt is so swishy and flattering.
