Ornate embroidery of peach blossoms, resting birds, and sprawling branches - the Hua Ling'er 花灵儿 Flower Spirit Ming Dynasty set is the definition of Renaissance fashion!

Start with the Liling Duijin Shan 立领对襟衫 (standing collar parallel panel top), covered with delicate embroidery and golden trim. Features Pipa Xiu 琵琶袖 (lute sleeves), curved sleeves with tapered wrists.

These sleeves are not only great as pockets, but create an elegant sloping silhouette. Back design contains a circle with more birds and flowers - symbols of beauty and love. 

Pair with the Mamian Qun 马面裙 (horse face skirt) in the color of your choice! Black, blue, lilac, red, or ivory white - all pair wonderfully with any Ming top or even your favorite sweater. Designs of pomegranates, birds, and even more flower cover the knees and bottom of the skirt in dazzling golden threads. These strips of brocade are called Lan 襕 (sections of designed hem).

Mamian Qun 马面裙 are characterized by their large front and back panel, accompanied by trapezoidal side pleats to create a gentle flared shape without needing a petticoat! 

Mix and match your choice of top and bottom for an ensemble unique to you. Both pieces are versatile and great for styling in both modern and traditional contexts.

Note that Chinese sizes are smaller than US sizes. To avoid wrong sizings, please refer to the sizing chart in the photos. Please measure in centimeters. 

 

CLEANING INFORMATION

Please hand wash carefully as to not ruin the embroidery, jewels, or buttons. Please air dry the clothes on a hanger. Hand washing and air drying also extends the life of your hanfu. For ironing, please use lowest heat setting or steam out the wrinkles.
