Although its designed for wedding wear, this Mamian Qun 马面裙 (horse faced skirt) from the great Ming Dynasty is a regal piece you can style with any wedding or daily dress!

With its golden threads, this skirt shines in the sunlight with a warm glow.

Choose from a 4.5 meter or 6 meter swing for your desired pendulum for princess spins.

The horse faced skirt gets its name from its construction, similar to old war forts that were also called Mamian 马面 (horse face). The name stuck around due to its ease to wear while horseback riding.

Features golden woven brocades of pheasants and peonies, symbols of wealth and auspiciousness. 

The construction of the mamian qun 马面裙 contains two large front and back panels showcasing the art on the skirt, and many trapezoidal pleats on the sides. This creates a very flattering A-line silhouette without needing any petticoat!
