Product Info

You've probably heard of Majia 马甲 (rider's vest), now get ready for the Han woman's equivalent: Kanjian 坎肩 (waistcoat)!

Retaining the short cropped shape of the typical Majia 马甲, this version of vest has a curved and cross collared chest design. The arch of the top panel across the chest is lovingly called Pipa Jin 琵琶襟, a reference to the curved shape of a traditional Pipa 琵琶 lute instrument. 

Highlighted by contrasting ribbon trim, the pipa chest design is further complimented by hand embroidered flowers and butterflies. Choose from a variety of fun colors, perfect for layering over your Qing Han top of choice, and your favorite skirt or embroidered Qing trousers! 

Alternatively, looks great with your favorite turtleneck knit sweater and jeans. These fun vests add a touch of 18th century opulence to any ensemble.

CLEANING INFORMATION

Please hand wash carefully as to not ruin the embroidery, jewels, or buttons. Please air dry the clothes on a hanger. Hand washing and air drying also extends the life of your hanfu. For ironing, please use lowest heat setting or steam out the wrinkles.
