Ornately woven with an golden shine, the Lizhi 荔枝 Lychee Plus Size Mamian 马面 skirt is an adorable and versatile skirt!

Thick satin brocade fabric and sharply creased pleats, the Mamian 马面 skirt is the most iconic skirt of the Ming Dynasty

Directly translated as "horse faced skirt" it gets its name from its construction, similar to old war forts that were also called Mamian 马面 (horse face). The name stuck around due to its ease to wear while horseback riding.

Features woven brocades of lychee blossoms and roses.

The construction of the mamian qun 马面裙 contains 2 large front and back panels showcasing the art on the skirt, and many trapezoidal pleats on the sides. This creates a very flattering A-line silhouette without needing any petticoat!
